Website development

From an empty file to launch, in one team.

We build websites from a blank page. First we work out what the business sells and to whom, then we plan the structure and design around your content, write the code ourselves and stay on once the site is live. We work out of Vilnius, with clients in Lithuania and abroad. Below is why we work this way and what the timeline depends on.

Why no templates

A template is somebody else's answer to your problem.

A template is somebody else's answer to your problem. It was drawn by someone who did not know what you sell, so it looks good in the demo and starts to strain from the first real sentence: the headline is too long, the photo is the wrong shape, the menu has items you do not need. Every one of those mismatches costs either a compromise or an hour of a developer fighting code that is not theirs.

We start from an empty file. The first week is slower for it: we sit with you and write down what a visitor has to find in the first ten seconds and where they have to press. That sheet becomes the page plan you approve before the first mock-up. Every week after that is faster, because nothing is pushing back: the design is drawn for your copy, the code is written for that design. The Catéchiste and Beaju sites above and below were made exactly this way.

How long it takes depends on the number of pages, the integrations, and most of all on when the copy and the photographs are ready. The development is rarely late. The content almost always is, which is why our first question is about who is writing, and only then about colours. Tell us the scope and we will answer with a date.

Once the site is live you change the copy, images and pages yourself. Speed, security and updates you can leave with us, as a separate service, maintenance. You can also not leave them: the site is yours, the code is yours, and nothing in it works only while we are around.

What you get

Structure and content plan
One sheet: which pages are needed, what each has to say and where it leads. You approve it before the first mock-up.
Design
The key screens first, then the whole system: colours, type and components that can be repeated.
Development
Content management, forms and integrations with the tools you already use. We write the code ourselves.
Every screen
Phone, tablet, desktop: the same site, with nothing cropped.
Performance
The site opens fast on the phone and the desktop. Measured with Google's Core Web Vitals, on launch day.
Technical SEO
Structure and metadata so that Google and AI search find the site and understand what it is about.
Content and testing
Copy, photography and checks on every device and browser.
Launch and the first weeks
We migrate, launch and watch how the site behaves with real visitors.

Common questions

Will I be able to edit the content myself?

Yes. The site is handed over with content management where you change copy, images and pages yourself. The technical side stays with us if you want it to.

Can you take over an existing site?

It depends on what it was built with and what state it is in. Send us the address, we will look and tell you what is worth fixing and what is cheaper to rebuild.

What happens after launch?

We stay on: updates, security, performance and changes when they are needed. That is a separate service, maintenance, which can be taken together with the build or later.
